Although spring is usually associated with spending time outdoors, enjoying the beautiful weather, and gathering for events with friends and family, this spring is a bit different with the coronavirus. But, you can still enjoy the season indoors while maintaining social distance. Here’s how to to make your home still feel like spring.

Swap Winter Home Decor For Springtime Pieces

Put away your comforters, flannels sheets, and throw pillows and swap them for some lighter springtime items. Use lighter colors and pastel hues with lightweight throw blankets, placement, and springtime napkins.

Grow Houseplants

Bring the outside indoors by planting greenery in your home. Lavender and basil add some color and a nice scent.

Plant a Vegetable Garden

Get your kids involved by starting a vegetable garden. Kale, Brussel sprouts, and snow peas are great cool weather plants to get started with.

TOMATO SEEDLING UPDATE: My hands smell like tomato plants and I cannot wait for summer. I just finished potting up most of the tomato seedlings (about 40+). It’s tedious work, but must be done. I am generally happy with how the seedlings have performed so far (except for the ones from a certain seed company… won’t get into it today. Serenity now!). I ended up throwing out a half dozen seedlings, which isn’t too bad in the grand scheme of things. I’ll probably give them a good feed with fish emulsion in a couple of weeks then it’s smooth (hopefully) sailing until May.
