]]> In America, as well as most of the world is used to the Neapolitan style of pizza. But, in Rome, most of what you will find is Sicilian style pizza, which is a rectangle rather than a square. The flavors of the pizza always vary widely compared to most Neapolitan style pizzas. What’s even better about pizza in Rome is that almost every place offers many options for pizza with no cheese, so dairy-free people can still enjoy without fear!  So if you are preparing for a trip to Rome, don’t forget to keep your eyes out for this different pizzas. 

Bianca

This is probably the strangest looking pizza because it looks nothing like the pizzas most people are used to. Pizza Bianca is a completely vegan pizza that tastes more like focaccia, except it is super flavorful and very airy. Normally you will find it topped with olive oil, salt, and sometimes herbs like rosemary.

Zucchine

This zucchini pizza is an interesting vegetarian option because of the texture the zucchini brings. It is also usually accompanied by ricotta cheese.

Speck

This pizza has speck, a cured meat that is similar to prosciutto on top and gives you that salty and chewy bite that you’re craving.
