]]>If your water bottle is dishwasher safe, throw it in the dishwasher whenever you are running a cycle. For some bottles, the base is dishwasher safe and the lids aren’t.
For everyday washes, fill your bottle with warm soapy water. For a deeper clean, use hot water and a few drops of liquid dish soap. Put the cap on your bottle and shake it so the water bubbles inside. Dump out the water and use a bottle scrub brush to reach the bottom of the bottle. Make sure you also wash the outside of the bottle. To finish, rinse your bottle with warm water to remove any suds. Don’t forget to scrub the lid and the mouthpiece.
Fill your water bottle halfway with equal part vinegar and water. Put the lid on and shake it before you let the bottle sit with the solution overnight. The following day, rinse out the bottle with warm water to get rid of any vinegar.
If your bottle is filled with grime or mildew, bleach is the best way to clean your bottle. Mix a teaspoon of bleach with a teaspoon of baking soda in your bottle. Fill the rest of it with water and use the solution to scrub the cap. Let your bottle sit overnight and then rinse it with warm water in the morning.
