But, once the puzzle is complete and you’ve spent tons of time putting it together, the thought of taking it apart is overwhelming. With these tips, you can frame your puzzle and display it proudly in your home.

Complete the Puzzle First

Enjoy putting the pieces together while you’re completing the puzzle. Don’t let gluing the pieces down affect the amount of fun you’re having finishing the puzzle.

Protect the Surfaces Before You Start

Build the puzzle the same way you normally would, with the pieces face up, but do it on a surface you don’t mind getting glue on. Cardboard or foam are good surfaces to work on. When you’ve finished your puzzle, make sure it’s flat and press it down with books or a rolling pin. Dust off any hair or dust that’s on the surface.

Choose Your Glue

After you’ve made sure your puzzle is flat, it’s time to glue it down. Liquid glue or Mod Podge are good ones to use. Start on the edge and work the glue into the puzzle, covering the top and making sure it reaches all the cracks.

Wait For the Puzzle to Dry

Before hanging the puzzle, make sure it’s completely dry. Then you can use a spray adhesive to mount it on a foam board or you can put it directly into the frame.
