]]>Sure enough, when you present this cake to your guests, they will all be falling at your feet with desire and appreciation. And they never need to know just how easy it was to make!
It’s so easy to make: simply mix 1 cup oil, 2 eggs, 1 cup sugar, 2 tsp lemon juice, and 2 tbs rosewater. Then add in 2 cups of flour, 1 tsp baking powder, a handful of pistachios, a handful of sliced almonds, and 1/2 tsp salt. Then pour into a greased cake pan and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes, or until fork in center comes out clean.
When the cake has cooled, mix 1 cup of confectioners sugar, 1 tbs rosewater, and 1 tbs lemon juice, and pour all over the top of the cake. Then scatter a handful of pistachios and sliced almonds, and rose petals if you have them, as a beautiful garnish.
Admire your beautiful cake and let the compliments roll in! It’s especially good when enjoyed with a cup of cardamom tea.
