]]>To make the mint julep cocktail you will need:
2 1/2 oz bourbon whiskey
seltzer water
1 1/2 teaspoons superfine sugar
crushed ice
10 mint leaves
Use a quality bourbon whiskey for the tastiest cocktail. You will also need some extra mint leaves for the garnish at the end.
The best thing about this cocktail is that you won’t be needing a shaker. This means that the process is much easier and anyone can prepare it.
The latest trends feature this chic metal glass for a mint julep, which you can easily find in many stores. A regular glass will also do the job.
Start by putting the mint leaves in the glass together with the sugar. Grab a muddler or anything else that would do the job. Start muddling until you get small pieces of the mint leaves.
You can now add a little bit of seltzer water on top. Get the crushed ice and fill in the glass up to 3/4 quarters. Pour the bourbon and top off with seltzer water. Mix it with a straw and decorate with a mint leaf.
