The production designer recreated the spirit of this community by finding suitable locations in the Los Angeles area, including the prestigious neighborhood of Hancock Park where the Richardsons house is located.
Movies and TV shows aren’t always filmed in the places where they’re actually set, but Defending Jacob is one of the rare exceptions. This murder mystery is mostly set in Newton, Massachusetts, just like the original novel that it’s based on.
If you tend to use cinema as a source of travel inspiration, Normal People is the best show you could possibly watch this spring. It takes place everywhere from Ireland to Italy and Sweden, but one place you’ll want to check out after seeing it is County Sligo, where its leads grew up.

There are no babies switched at birth involved in Little Fires Everywhere, but it still shares several aspects with the ABC family drama – including two central families, kids who feel out of place in theirs, and a complicated adoption sub-plot.
