He was initially listed questionable to return before being ruled out before the start of the second half.
Speaking with reporters after the game, the Raiders’ head coach Jon Gruden told the reports that the team doesn’t believe Carr suffered a tear of any kind but that the injury is still “pretty significant.”
“I don’t believe it’s a real tear, but obviously if he can’t finish the game it’s got to be pretty significant,” said Gruden.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the injury might sideline Carr for the remainder of the season considering that the Raiders have only two games left to be played.
Derek Carr has been enjoying a solid campaign with the Raiders in 2020, completing 68.1 percent of his passes and throwing for 3,396 yards and 24 touchdowns. Carr also has only seven interceptions this season while boosting a career-best quarterback rating of 102.0.
