]]>It’s one of those words that just don’t translate into English. Koselig (a noun) or kose (a verb) can partially be described with English word cozy, though it doesn’t cover the whole meaning.

As you can see, koselig is as much about people and experiences as it is about creating a cozy atmosphere. Yes, it’s similar to Danish hygge, but Norwegians also use the word hyggelig and it has another meaning in their country – they say hyggelig å treffe deg when they are pleased to meet someone.
