]]>Sitting around all day long is already too much, you definitely don’t need to sit through the lunch break. In fact, you should get moving every time you have a chance. A 30-minute walk around the lunch and a five-minute stroll every hour or so should be the bare minimum during work hours, with more activity in your spare time. As you can assume, most people don’t do this. Constant sitting can have devastating consequences on your health and the time to prevent them is now.
Exercise and movement also make us happier and energetic, so expect to come back from your active lunch break in a better mood and ready to tackle the other half of your workday. In case you can’t get out for lunch for whatever reason, you can compensate by walking at least a part of your commute to and from work.
