]]> One of the biggest upsets in Week 12 of the 2020 NFL season was undoubtedly the San Francisco 49ers’ 23-20 win over LA Rams. The 49ers entered the game without their starting quarterback and several key players on injured reserve but still managed to get the best out of the high-flying Rams.

The biggest reason for the Rams’ loss was the turnovers from quarterback Jared Goff, who lost one fumble and threw two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown by Javon Kinlaw. And LA’s head coach Sean McVay made sure he knows it.

Speaking with reporters after the game, McVay called out Goff and told him he has to be more careful with the football.

“It’s taking care of the football,” said McVay. “Our quarterback has to take better care of the football.”

The thing that worries McVay and Rams is that the game against the 49ers wasn’t an isolated incident. Goff is turnover-prone lately and has two interceptions in three of his last four games.

Goff was also unable to make up for the turnovers against the 49ers with production, as he finished the contest with only 198 passing yards and failed to throw a single touchdown.

This isn’t good news for the Rams, who are trying to remain in control in a highly-competitive NFC West. The Rams are currently sitting second in the division with a 7-4 record but are only one win ahead of Arizona Cardinals and could see their playoff road get complicated if they continue to struggle.
