Whether you think water is disgusting without flavoring it or you’re looking to play around with different ingredients, infusing liquids is a fun way to change up your routine and surprise your taste buds. Follow these recipes below and you’ll become the master of infusions.

Oil

Flavored oil is so delicious and decadent, but can often be pricier than regular olive oil. However, if you do the infusing yourself at home you’ll save money and have an amazing product at the end. Simply choose whatever flavor you want, like herbs, garlic, or peppers, leave it to sit in the olive oil for 1-2 weeks and you’re ready to dive in!

Alcohol

Infused alcohol not only makes for more interesting cocktails, you can give it out as unique gifts as well! Choose an alcohol that doesn’t have any distinct nuanced flavors already such as vodka or whiskey, pick whatever you’d like them to taste like, and store for about 3 weeks in a dark place. The key to this is to taste the alcohol every few days to see where the flavor is. If you feel like it’s getting too strong, take out some of the flavorings or dilute it with more regular alcohol.
