Having a strong immune system is important to your health, especially during these coronavirus times. If you’re looking for ways to boost your immune system and help fight off viruses, these are the four steps you should be taking.

Get Good Sleep

When you don’t get enough sleep, you’re more likely to become ill after you’re exposed to viruses because your immune system is constantly working, even while you’re sleeping. You should aim to get between seven to eight hours of sleep a night.

Do you really need another reason to stay active? Exercise has anti-inflammatory effects on the body and enhances the immune system.

We all know how important it is to stay hydrated throughout the day, but water also helps essential vitamins and minerals from foods get absorbed into your body and it removes waste products from the body. Water reduces the effects of chronic diseases and health problems that can damage your immune system.

Tomato Juice

If you love bloody marys your in luck as tomato juice has half of the day’s recommended Vitamin C and it has folate.

Fruit Smoothies

We love fruit smoothies and we’re glad to find out that they support a healthy immune system. Citrus fruits are high in Vitamin C and berries contain lots of antioxidants, which make them great for fighting off illnesses.
