There is no right or wrong way to create such a space but here are a few ideas on how to make it special.

You may start by using a beautiful textile on a table, like a scarf you love, and then gather other objects that have meaning to you. These objects are intended to make you go deeper into your heart or soul.

Many people use candles and incense in their sacred space. Place pillows on the floor or find a comfortable chair that offers back support.

You may even create several sacred spaces for different purposes. One that helps to connect you with nature and the four seasons may contain objects that have caught your attention while wandering outside, like a feather or a fallen leaf.

A sacred space serves as a visual reminder to set time aside. Use the time to meditate, journal, draw, paint, set intentions or practice deep breathing.  Once you’ve spent some time in your sacred space, you’ll come away calmer, clearer and more inspired.
