]]> Once the dishes have been done, and the toys and clothes cleared away, do you ignore the rest of the room? We’re probably all guilty of forgetting some of these easy-to-forget hiding places for dirt.

Cleaning tools

If your cleaning tools aren’t clean, they won’t clean anything. Take some time to check your vacuum cleaner, scrubbing brushes and other cleaning tools. Did you know that the debris cup of your vacuum should be washed monthly in hot, soapy water?

Indoor plants

Whether they’re real or fake, it’s so easy to forget to clean indoor plants. Wipe real leaves and flowers with a damp microfiber cloth.

Use a hairdryer to blow any dust present off silk plants. Other fake plants, depending on what they are made of, also benefit from a damp cloth.

Closet floors

Our closet floors are usually piled with shoes, so they’re somewhere that probably need cleaning attention. As our shoes come into contact with dirty floors and the outdoors, we really need to give our closet floors a regular good clean.

If a closet is carpeted, it could actually become the breeding ground for mildew and molds, as well as destructive insects.
