]]>Way before getting into a relationship, you have to realize that the most important relationship you have in your life is with yourself. Don’t forget your awesomeness and always be your most authentic self.
This is a big one to remember: timelines are irrelevant. Sure, you may have wanted to be settled down with a kid by 25, but life often has other plans and we can’t plan everything. It really doesn’t matter if your friends and classmates are getting engaged, married, or having babies—the only timeline that matters is yours! Don’t let feelings of being left behind make you rush into anything.
As we grow up, so do our tastes in people. Whereas good looks or the kind of car they drive may have once been the deciding factor, as you mature you realize what is truly important. It’s so much better to go for authentic qualities like emotional intelligence; communication skills; honesty; and self-awareness.
