We bet you’ve gotten super creative with your eye makeup as your eyes were what shined while wearing masks. No better time to show off your skills than now with “confetti” eyeliner. This new makeup trend is bold and daring—it sure packs a colorful punch!

Confetti eyeliner was featured in MAC Cosmetic’s 2021 spring and summer makeup trend report and we’ve seen tons of takes of it on social media. All of them have one thing in common—bright colors. The look is a dotted, colorful take on a classic cat eye, with lots of room for experimentation and individuality. While our favorite has to be dotting your eyes with every color of the rainbow, subtler ones apply color directly to the lids.

What we love about the trend is you don’t have to be a master at makeup or a makeup artist to create it. It actually looks better when it’s imperefect, giving more of a confetti look.
