]]>Wawawiwa is a brain child of Colombian illustrator Andres Colmenares, who started this project in 2009. He described is as a result of an obsession with drawing and writing jokes.
“My work is mostly gags inspired by everyday life with cute and positive characters. At the end, it’s just an escape to the ongoing harsh realities of life,” explains Colmenares.
His refreshing humor and cute drawings attracted almost a quarter million Instagram followers. He didn’t see this coming, but he can see why people enjoy his cartoons so much.
“I guess people enjoy things that give them some kind of escape from reality and that’s what I try to do with Wawawiwa, create a space where people can have a great time and forget about their issues,” said the illustrator behind these comics.
