]]>Dodgers announced that Bellinger underwent shoulder surgery on Tuesday but reassured the fans that the 25-year-old player won’t miss significant time. According to the announcement, Bellinger will recover in full by Spring Training.
Bellinger got hurt in Game 7 of the National League Championship Series against the Atlanta Braves. He dislocated his shoulder while celebrating a homer and seemed to be in great discomfort after it.
Luckily for the Dodgers, the medical staff managed to patch up Bellinger, and he ended up playing through the rest of the playoffs and helping the franchise to win its first World Series since 1998.
Cody Bellinger hit .239 with 12 homers and 30 RBIs during the regular MLB season. His batting average dropped to .212 during playoffs, but he still managed to make some big plays and end the postseason with four home runs and 13 RBIs.
Bellinger made his MLB debut in 2017 but has already managed to accomplish some big things. Besides the World Series win, he also has an NL MVP award from 2019 to his name, as well as two All-Star nods.
