]]>Beckham was injured while trying to tackle Bengals’ corner Darius Phillips, who intercepted the pass intended for Brown’s wideout. During the tackle, Beckham landed awkwardly and immediately grabbed his knee.
The 27-year-old Pro Bowler was carted off the field and didn’t return to the game.
Beckham underwent an MRI on Monday, with the Browns later announcing that he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee.
“Obviously it’s a big loss,” said Browns coach Kevin Stefanski after the news was confirmed. “He’s a huge part of what we do. So now we’ll just have to huddle up, and find some different ways and find some different people and put them in that role.”
Odell Beckham Jr isn’t a stranger to injuries, considering they cost him a total of 27 games since he entered the league in 2014. That total will now significantly increase as Beckham won’t get back on the field anytime soon.
Beckham has had a lukewarm season so far, catching 23 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns.

]]>Njoku already made a trade request during the offseason, but the Browns managed to convince him to stay. Still, it appears that the 24-year-old Njoku isn’t convinced with his role as No.2 TE behind Pro Bowler Austin Hooper and would like to go somewhere where he would receive an expanded role.
Njoku, who missed three games due to a wrist injury, played only 61 snaps in 2020 so far. He was targeted seven times, getting five receptions for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Cleveland reportedly still doesn’t want to move on from David Njoku, despite the fact that Hooper has the starting position locked while rookie Harrison Bryant looked well while on the field. It is believed that the only way Browns would deal Njoku is if they receive “an offer they can’t refuse.”
Injuries have depleted Browns in secondary and on linebacker position, so if they get offered a starter in this department, Njoku will most likely be free to go.
Njoku, who was Browns’ first-round pick in 2017, has 93 career receptions for 1,066 yards and nine touchdowns.
