]]>Designed by Virginie Viard, the collection pays homage to Karl Lagerfeld’s eccentric rock-romanticism. In a press release, Viard said that she was inspired by a “punk princess coming out of ‘Le Palace’ at dawn.”

Classic leggings have been a staple in our closet for years, but these polished leggings are chic and updated, especially when paired with a tweed blazer.
Mini and midi hemlines move over as maxi hemlines are gaining popularity. Expect to see them in dresses and skirts come fall.

As popular as the clothing and purses are, Chanel is also known for their trendy shoes and these romantic lace-up shoes caught our attention. Soon enough, we’ll be seeing these in stores everywhere.
This punk-inspired look is a smudged cat-eye along the upper and bottom lashlines. All the focus will be on the eyes with this makeup look.

]]>The new collection is made up of several distinctive-style clothing models, the most dominant being tweed pieces and flat shoes with a prominent top. The designer was inspired by the style of the 90s, so you could see a lot of pink shades, low waist dresses, overalls, voluminous skirts, sequin jackets, and denim shorts with wide socks.
Every outfit presented can be used for inspiration because it does not fall under the category of high fashion that is not wearable. The pieces are designed to be easily mixed and combined with one another.
What was noticeable was that the collection was quite different from the others: the accessories weren’t too prominent either when it came to jewelry or when it came to bags. Probably because they also presented the new bag – CHANEL 19 – separately, not long after the fashion week.

]]>Lagerfeld became household name thanks to his continues efforts to bring the house of Chanel into a more modern era. He served as the creative director of this luxury fashion house from 1983, when CEO Alain Wertheimer gave him carte blanche to reinvent this brand.
“Thanks to his creative genius, generosity and exceptional intuition, Karl Lagerfeld was ahead of his time, which widely contributed to the House of CHANEL’s success throughout the world,” said Wertheimer in a statement following Lagerfeld’s death.
In addition to serving as creative director of Chanel, Italian luxury fashion house Fendi entrusted him to take control of their creative direction as well. The experience he gained while working for these two fashion giants provided him with enough courage to start his own eponymous brand.
Lagerfeld spent his whole career breaking boundaries and exploring different artistic horizons. He dressed royals, Hollywood A-listers and supermodels everyone knows and love, but managed to become as recognizable as all of them, despite the fact he did all of his work out of spotlight.
