You don’t have to travel far to get your cat-fix as there are tons of places throughout the United States that you can see cats honored for the amazing felines they are. If you can’t get enough cats, these are the places you should put on your bucket list.

Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum

At the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum located in Ket West, Florida, you’ll be surrounded by 40 to 50 six-toed cats. You may be wondering why these cats are six-toed. Well, Hemingway had a six-toed cat and some of the cats you can visit are relatives of his very own cat.

Cat Mountain Lodge & Roadside Inn

Located in Tucson, Arizona be sure to check out this vintage-style inn where you can see big cats (think bobcats and mountain lions) roaming around while relaxing on the private patio.

Crumbs & Whiskers

Crumbs & Whiskers was first created as a pop-up kitty longe in Georgetown, but it’s since expanded to permanent locations in Los Angelos, California, and Washington D.C. Sip on your latte while you play with kittens; you can even adopt one.

Feline Historical Museum

This museum located in Alliance, Ohio preserves historical artifacts, artwork, and collectibles, so our furry friends can be appreciated for a long time. Check out a 1900s wooden cat carrier, a silver collar which was given to Cosey, the winner of the first Madison Square Garden car show in 1895, and more than 6,00 cat-related books. If you’re lucky, you may even get to see Maine Coons, Ragdolls, Egyptian Maus, or Japanese Bobcats.
