]]> French beauty illustrator Marine de Quénetain is ahead of the curve when it comes to fashion trends. Born in 1987 in Paris, de Quénetain has graduated from ESAG Penninghen, Académie Julian in Paris in 2009 with a Masters Degree in Art Direction and Graphic design; and by the age of 22 has co-founded a graphic design studio.

Since October 2013, she runs her own illustration studio, with her clients including some of the world’s most exciting fashion brands including Chanel, Hermes, Goop, and Louboutin. Working mainly in the beauty and fashion industry, her work covers a wide range of styles and disciplines, from illustration to pattern design, and posters to book covers.

“I find there is beauty in everyday life, simple objects and particularly beauty products in a bathroom,” remarked de Quénetain in an interview with the L’Oreal blog. A lot of her work zooms in on the beauty cabinet, examining it’s ins and outs. “Why beauty shelves? because I adore beauty products, I love to read about beauty routines on Into The Gloss, I think it so inspiring,” she says. “I think I love the fact that drawing top shelves is mixing my love for beauty products and my love for still life in art.”

According to de Quénetain, “beauty is essential. Beauty is what makes the world go round. I also love this quote from Gabrielle Chanel: ‘Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.’ Focus on how to develop your inner happiness to let explode your beauty.”
