]]>First, prep your wet hair with volumizing mousse. All you need is a dime-sized amount and use your fingertips to massage the mousse into the roots of your hair and allow your hair to air dry.
Section your hair horizontally from the bottom to the top, making sure to pin the rest of your hair as you do it. For thin hair, split it into three sections and for thicker hair split it into four sections.
With a flat iron or curling iron, start creating waves on the first section of your hair. Start styling small one-to-two inch pieces of hair from each section, making sure to start a few inches below the scalp.
Twist the hair around the styling tool and leave an inch or two at the end of the strands. For each strand of hair, alternate the direction you’re styling.
Let your curls cool for a few minutes and then gently run your fingers through your hair. To keep the curls in place longer, use a setting spray.
