]]>Ever since it first premiered in 1954, The Nutcracker has been considered a masterpiece of dance theater and an important event for the holiday season. Since it first premiered, the show has never skipped a year and there’s no reason for it to happen now, although under different circumstances.
“We are thrilled that through our new partnership with Marquee TV audiences everywhere will now have the opportunity to experience the beauty and magic of this treasured classic in the comfort and safety of their own homes during what continues to be a very challenging year,” said Jonathan Stafford, the Artistic Director of NYCB and SAB, in a statement, as reported by Real Simple.
The streaming event will be available on Marquee TV for nearly a month—from December 11th, 2020 to January 3rd, 2021. Tickets start at $25 in the U.S. but prices vary internationally.
