Many people are still expected to go to the office, even though it is now one of the places that are at high risk for coronavirus. If you’re among them, here’s how to sanitize your office and make sure you’re safe in it day after day.
Steam Cleaning
Steam cleaning is efficient in eliminating 99% of pathogens so it’s a perfect choice for cleaning the office textiles like chairs, curtains, and carpets. It can also be used on hard surfaces so you can easily clean everything in one go. It’s important to know that steam cleaning will be effective after a sustained contact of at least three minutes at temperatures between 175 and 212 degrees F.
Wiping
For quick touch-ups during the day, use disinfectant wipes. They’re handy and efficient in removing the germs that pile up throughout the day. If you have people stopping by your office or desk, use wipes to clean after each of them has left.
Hand Washing
Nothing is as important as everyone in the office washing hands regularly. There are always surfaces that all of you are touching and that’s the only way they can stay relatively clean. Proper handwashing takes at least 20 seconds and should be done before and after eating, after using the bathroom, after coughing or blowing the nose, etc.
