If you find yourself overstaying your welcome at the beach, you may head back home with nasty sunburns. It’s always best to take a couple of rest days and avoid the sunlight when that happens, but what if you still want to hit the gym?

Avoid Overheating

It’s crucial to avoid overheating when you’re dealing with sunburns, and your body temperature will rise during a workout. It’s pretty much impossible to stop yourself from overheating while exercising. That’s the main reason why you shouldn’t do it with sunburn and give yourself a couple of days to recover.

Skin Irritations

Your skin is already as irritated as it is when you have sunburns, and working out will just make it worse. Sweat and body heat will do no favors to your sensitive skin, especially if you’re wearing tight clothes.

Comfort and Hydration

Speaking of tight clothes—you should avoid them at all costs because they may lead to inflammation. Wearing lightweight and loose activewear is a much better idea, and you should also make sure to stay properly hydrated and do light exercises if you want to keep working out.
