We all know how important it is to apply sunscreen every time we go out in the summer sun, but there are some important body parts most of us often miss. So next time you’re at the beach, or just on a walk, here are the places you should not neglect:
Your Ears
Even if you are shading your face with a hat, your ears are still left vulnerable. Don’t forget them when you apply sunscreen to your face.
The Top of Your Hands
Make a habit of applying sunscreen to your hands, including the top part. Prolonged sun exposure can make your skin lose collagen and elasticity, which is especially apparent on the tops of your hands.
The Top of Your Feet
The top of your feet is directly exposed to the sun whenever you’re wearing flip-flops or sandals. That makes this area especially vulnerable to UV rays.
Your Lips
A lip balm that contains SPF (sun protection factor) will protect your lips. Make sure to reapply it frequently when you drink or eat.
Your Eyelids
The best way to protect your eyelids is to wear sunglasses. But if you’re trying to avoid tan lines on your face, make sure to use an eye cream that contains SPF.
