Picking appropriate workout attire is more important than you think since going with the wrong pieces of clothing can have negative effects on your performance.
If you are wearing the following three items at the gym, it’s time to ditch them and look for better alternatives.
Cotton Activewear
We don’t blame you if cotton is your go-to fabric because it’s difficult to avoid it. It’s also quite comfortable and fitting for pretty much any occasion, but it doesn’t belong at the gym. This fabric is extremely absorbent, and you should replace it with sweat-absorbent synthetic materials.
Worn-Out Shoes
Your feet need proper support during workouts, and you’re not doing them any favors by wearing old sneakers at the gym. If you’re new to exercising, buy a special pair of shoes specifically for your workouts, and replace them once you notice they’re worn-out.
Heavy Jewelry
There are some things you should definitely leave inside your locker before your workout, and jewelry is one of them. It only serves as a distraction, and it may even end up getting damaged during your workout.
